Imagic ims is a professional image management system for the acquisiton, processing, storage, visualisation and presentation of digital images, movies and general documents for medical, industrial and media management applications.
Imagic ims provides a platform-independent, Java-based client/server architecture and supports the established database systems Oracle and SQL Server. Integral functional parts of Imagic ims are a comprehensive, LDAP-linked group and user management, an access rights management for data and user functions as well as a highly flexible workplace configuration concept for best adaptation to customer requirements.
The licensing concept allows for the configuration of individual workplaces tailored to different functional needs in the customer work environment.
An online web access featuring fast and easy-to-use data query enables data visualisation without the need for any local client installations.
Imagic ims is a modular concept with a wide range of optional, application-specific client and server functions.

ims Client

The ims Client  provides support for all kinds of manual up to fully automated image and movie recording based on optional customer-specific flow control, flexible image visualisation, annotation and measurement, as well as automated creation of reports and presentations in MS Word® and PowerPoint®.

ims Server

The ims Server disposes of a multitude of optional functions for user-defined, scheduled processes, such as the synchronisation of external, mobile databases with an internal central system, support for the medical interfaces HL-7 and DICOM, time and event-controlled data import/export, connection to LIMS, order and project management systems, and for linking to LDAP user management systems.

Database Concept

Imagic ims supports the current versions of Oracle and SQL Server for the management of the image archives. The ims Server connects via TCP/IP and the JDBC interface to the database system. The ims Server itself can be installed as a service on the database server or any other server.
The images, movies and documents remain untouched and are stored in their original format on an (optionally) separate file server. Access to the database and documents is only possible via the password-protected client/server link and may be further secured via a standard SSL connection.
