Imaging of "Impossible" samples

In metallography, a well-contrasting image is not always easy to realize. The ambient conditions with low light, insufficient depth of field, inhomogeneously illuminated samples or reflections make it difficult for users.

Often only the combination of all possibilities of hardware and software tools leads to the desired success. As a system supplier, Imagic has the tools and many years of know-how to provide an optimal representation of even the most challenging samples.

CORRECT ILLUMINATON IS THE CORNERSTONE

The optimal representation of a sophisticated sample is based on the efficient interaction of light and surface. Therefore, a sample-oriented illumination is of key importance.

With coaxial or ring light illumination, oblique or spotlight sources as well as with various accessories, our experts are available with numerous tools to illuminate your sample best possible.

CROSSING PERCEIVED BOUNDARIES

Even with optimized illumination, the user encounters physical limitations when imaging difficult samples. When all possibilities of the optical hardware are exhausted, the benefit comes from software. Imagic IMS offers various special modules for recording demanding samples, for example:

  • IMS module High Dynamic Range "HDR" to compensate for differences in exposure
  • IMS module Multifocus to compensate for a lack of depth of field
  • IMS module Panorama Scan for imaging large samples in high resolution through surface scan functions

All acquisition modes can be combined freely, allowing best possible image even of most difficult samples. Find out more here.
